We’d love to welcome you to our little haven. Our customers return over and over again.

Anna says it’s a ‘Magic Grotto’, Nicky says it’s ‘An Aladdin’s Cave’, Ted just buys his joss sticks and says very little but they all feel really at home here.

Julie, Millie, Gina and Liz, Caroline, Lizzie and Tonia, we take turns to run EARTHCRAFT and all of us will help you and make you feel welcome.

Millie has pink hair and paints hearts on her face and Gina has lovely dark eyes, they’ll both soon be off to college but still be here on Saturdays.

Tonia is lovely and calm, Liz, Caroline and Lizzie are really creative and Julie has just been here a very, very long time and still loves it.

It’s great fun working here and every day is interesting, we’re always busy even when we’re not busy! Apart from looking after our customers there are lots of little jobs to keep us occupied.

Opened by Julie in 1979 EARTHCRAFT has become a fixture in Wells with loyal customers from a very wide area. Julie’s daughter, Kate, used to think of the shop as her second home and was always helping and showing people how to make things even when she was a very little girl.

She and Sarah (who also used to work here) now run their own Knitting-gift company www.giftedknits.co.uk
